FAQ
Does anyone need to download an app?
No. They open your link on their phone or computer and record right there. No app and no account, so it’s easy for everyone, whatever their age.
Is it too late?
Probably not. Everyone records in a minute or two, right from the link, so a few days is plenty.
What can everyone add?
A toast of up to a minute, and up to three photos. The photos come together at the end of the film.
What if someone’s camera shy?
They get a few easy questions to answer, can watch their toast back, and retake it as many times as they like. Only the take they choose goes in the film.
When do toasts close?
Whenever you decide. You pick a date when you start, and you can move it if someone needs a little longer.
Can guests see each other’s toasts?
No. Only you, and anyone helping you host, see them before the film. It’s a surprise for everyone, including the people in it.
Do I have to edit anything?
No. We edit it for you: the pauses go, everyone lands in an order that flows, and the music goes underneath. If you want a say, you can pick the cover, the words at the start and end, who goes first and last, and the music.
How does it reach them?
By email, at the time you choose, so it lands on the day. Or gather everyone round the TV and press play together.
Can they keep it?
Yes. They don’t need an account, the link keeps working, and they can save the film to keep. It’s theirs.
Does it work for a celebration of life?
Yes. The wording changes throughout, so the film is about them and made for the people who miss them.
